It was raining when I confessed

Nothing really prepares you for anything
Even though you’ve slept the night before
And swore that you were in dreamland
Well in fact, you’re levitating on your bunk
Practicing aloud, what to say and what not

And then you looked at the clock and it is morning
You’ve fell from your bed without knowing
And realized physical pain compares nothing
To a forthcoming and inevitable ending

But I told myself, Today is the day
for tomorrow will be a different story

Today I will tell you everything
Pour my heart out and confess
Lay down my cards and make myself known

I will tell you a story of a long time ago
Of a girl who loved a boy
And woke up the day after, chasing a dream

I will tell you every thing
And make the littlest of things known
Even to the point—
Of breaking my heart once again.
